The Lochs of Scotland are a favourite place in my heart. Incredible colours from rust to green, yellow and purple vegetation cover the ancient rocks that lead to these vast bodies of water left over from the Ice Age when the Ice melted and left these trapped water valleys for us to see.

Using resin as my medium I add inks, diamond dust, copper powders, quartz, mineral powders and acrylics with additional use of sprays to soften the shine of the resin . In a Loch scene like this the slight sheen and matt contrast gives a good effect, of depth and contrast. The water is just hinted at
