A great world in it's infancy like we once were, once bombarded by asteroids and then built up over Time with huge volcanoes and vast cooling mineral rich lakes

Imagine the descent into the clouds in Terra Mercuria 1400 light yeas away.
A clear view of the huge volcano Sataris from a mile above the surface comes into view----
overlooking the huge chemical lake of azure blues, sapphire and jade greens.
A dazzling array of colours in a dangerous but beautiful world

Layering over in pure gold leaf , platinum dust, inks, chalk paints and mineral powders plus oil pastels and alcohol inks give superb effects together. Every shade of greens, cobalt and azure blues mixed with the magical elements colours of bronze, copper, gold and silver are used here. Hints of amethyst and sprays of reds as rich as ruby give the subtler colours a magical lift.
At least 7 layers were built up to create this almost 3 d bonanza.

Part of a series of 5 artworks created for QEQM hospital in Margate, England to create wellbeing and inspiration for the staff, nurses and doctors in the hallways and corridors.
I saw over 3 weeks as a patient there how tough their job was on a daily basis and
I vowed to make the hospital a more colourful interesting place. This is the main corridor into Margate QEQMHospital.
I do so well with my artworks that I feel its the least I can do to give something back. It is a duty.
