The day was coming to a close and the most fantastic thing happened - my work and the sky fused as one - the daylight faded giving me a blaze of oranges, gold, copper and dazzling golds which is what I was painting.
Magical was created to be the centrepiece of my upcoming exhibition at the Cuckoo Gallery in Margate from March to May. This is a huge work of 60' x 48' - full of watery inks, textured mineral powders, gold leaf, copper powder, diamond and quartz dust, sprays. The finished scene is very powerfu in my mind as it was such a beautiful day in my garden with an evening never to forget
