Authentic vintage aged leather cannot be created in a factory. Lounge Atelier in the late 70's and 1980s created some incredible leather pieces and were known for the caramel/ cognac richness of colour and totally superb quality of make. As you see here the finishing is incredible and that colour has only got better with age
I kept the theme of the red contrast binding on the two Parker Knoll 1972 chairs so the client would have a perfect match to rest her feet on. It truly is such a pleasure to see the joy and fun in my clients eyes when presented with such a humorous but functional item. The red binding went on easy as the elephant fabric is such great quality that it compliments the silent drama and colours of the print.
