IN MEMORY OF A BEAUTIFUL PERSON
As an artist there is no greater compliment than to be given a commission in memory of someone special who passed away .
My friend Steve asked me to do this large artwork for a space we made on the wall in his home in Margate.
He gave me the ashes of his beautiful wife to add into my layering and I made an artwork with her favourite colours .
The resin absorbs the materials and are mixed with her colours . Marian loved pastels and soft shades . I kept it colourful in a subdued shades of purple, blues, golds, mint green, light blues . Pure gold leaf leaf added a nice focus to the work in the light.
I felt it was the right feeling for her lovely kind character but she was a very private person who loved her family and travelling
