CORROSION

I love surface metal textures and see the beauty in them after years of corrosion and wear and tear. it having been left out in the elements. silver greys, golds, coppers all are absolutely visually stunning. I always see shading as a beautiful addition and it makes it almost look 3 dimensional but yet it is just from burned papers.

I do this by burning slightly the edge of the gold, copper and silver papers and adding them onto the next layer......it just works well sometimes. I add just a bit of sparkle to catch the light. Inks are added over the top. in certain areas as the resin is still wet. After they are burnt again and resined . Sealed in. Then the hardened resin is broken and bits and then refilled. it finally is complete when it takes on the right look ands not to overwork it too much.
