A commission as a memorial for a dearly loved one. Optimism and hope even in sadness
This commission was for my dear clients who had been through a traumatic loss recently. The love my work and we decided to combine the idea of little bits real gold with my normal style of otherworldly dream like abstract. The shades of the blacks and greys and whites were memories of their dear pet. She was golden to us all and the owners say every day they feel her spirit when they look at it. I combined bits of her fur into the resin and some of the ashes. It is about believing in living and moving on while keeping a memento to a dearly loved one.
The vortex at the centre of this work is surrounded by greys , golds, copper, silver and hints of red and highlighted by black inks as the work dries for colour highlighting. many fantastic materials were used in this commission and the owners were overjoyed
