VOLCANIC

This atmospheric piece is a tribute to the power of seismic forces and lava - a volcanic shape as if seen from miles above the Earth. The flow effect of the look of the artwork is particularly successful with a volcanic peak in the central area. This sometimes happens by chance - it looks as if a some craters and cones are dotted around a fabulous landscape

A wash layer is often added at first onto the raw canvas and then built up as the fluid layers of resin get applied. The depth builds up and looks very effective. Inks applied into the resin directly mean a very fluid look and it can create startling effects when viewed from afar. resin inks, real gold leaf, silver, copper and a variety of different mica powders which give an amazing reflection and shimmer to the eye.
